The Strong winds of Public Moral Opinion

As I try to unwind from my recent trip and mission to the United Nations Headquaters during the week of the Conference on Population and Development, my mind is still reeling in an attempt to fullyunpack and understand the overwhelming show of strength and commitment of the Western developed countries (like France, Germany and Britain) to the so called “Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights” (SRHR) agenda.

As one may already be able to guess, the

SRHR is really the “love child” of the sexual revolution conceived in a deadly embrace with secularism.

It is anti-religion, anti-family and anti-marriage.

It’s functional components would be contraception, abortion, homosexual lifestyle, divorce, premarital and extramarital sex all given free rein to reshape and reconfigure our world and civilisation.

It cannot stand religion because of the moral codes and values therein, it does not like families because of the moral order required within the family, it is against parental rights and authority because of the guardrails that parents set out of love for their children, it cannot condone marriage because of the high requirements for fidelity.

Such is the nature and texture of the sexual and reproductive health rights agenda which is now being pushed and promoted by these powerful nations.

So as I thought long and hard to know how these western nations in question came to the point of moral madness and blindness, and also to see how close they really are to pushing the poorer/developing nations over the cultural cliff, I stumbled upon this eye-opening survey done by Pew Research Center in 2013.

In my opinion, it gives a vivid snapshot view of global morality. This survey was conducted by asking 40,000 respondents in 40 countries what they thought about the most common sexual moral indicators that are most discussed around the world including: extramarital affairs, homosexual lifestyle, abortion, premarital sex, divorce, and the use of contraceptives.

For each of these important moral issues, respondents were asked whether it is morally acceptable, morally unacceptable, or not a moral issue at all.

vealing survey shows the deep seated moral decadence in countries like France, Britain, Germany, Spain and even Italy.
It reveals, the incredibleproportions of people in the western societies who embrace abortion as morally acceptable, and the shocking numbers who insist that extramarital sex is acceptable and the overwhelming majority who claim that premarital sex is acceptable.

These nations have sold their moral compass for nothing in return as they continue to destroy and demolish the solid support systems like faith, family and marriage.

The heart breaking thing is that children born into these societies are immediately immersed in this decadent universe that has been devised and designed by faithless and selfish adults.

Reflecting and tying this study to my arduous week at the UNHQ I have extrapolated some explanations as to why all week-long, the ideologically-driven developed nations continued plotting, prodding and pushing more morally inclined nations to imbibe their morally skewed ways. And I can say with much resolve that the time has come for people of goodwill to take an unequivocal stance now in order to oppose this rising moral corruption that seems to be surging through the veins of these countries.

We can no longer take our cue from them, we can no longer entrust our innocent children to them, we can no longer learn from them, because they have become deeply entrenched in the quicksand of moral decadence.

Without further ado, I would share with you some of the telling facts and figures that emerged from this important survey.

For purpose of simplicity, I will accentuate the percentage of people in the various countries who have the moral spine to reject the sexual distortions and vices as morally unacceptable.

Therefore the higher the percentage, the more morally inclined a country is and vice versa.

Views on Abortion :

The best and most morally outstanding countries are:

-The Philippines where 92% of the people find abortion morally unacceptable

Ghana also comes up with a fantastic 92%

Indonesia comes next with 89% rejecting abortion

The worst countries with regards to abortion:

France where only 14% of the people find abortion morally unacceptable

Czech Republic only 18% find abortion unacceptable

Germany comes next with only 19% of the people rejecting abortion as morally unacceptable

Britain has only 25% of surveyed population who think abortion is morally unacceptable

Interestingly the USA did much better with almost 50% of the surveyed population rejecting abortion as unacceptable. In many ways, the USA as a nation stands morally apart from most western nations, but the moral decadence of the current leadership continues to compromise and weigh down on the moral integrity of America.

However, most of the surveyed African countries (Uganda, Nigeria and Kenya) scored really high with more than 80% who consider abortion to be morally unacceptable.

This is exactly why we have to strive to keep legal abortion out of Africa!
This is exactly why we must strive to keep Africa pro-life!

Views on Premarital Sex:

The best and most morally outstanding countries are:

Indonesia with 97% considering premarital sex as morally unacceptable

Jordan also came up with a fantastic 95%

Pakistan and Palestine territory comes next with 94% rejecting the idea of premarital sex

The worst countries with regards to premarital sex:

France and Germany where only 6% of the people find premarital sex morally unacceptable

-Then Spain follows closely with only 8% who consider premarital sex as unacceptable

Czech Republiccomes next with only 10%

Again the African nations come up strong with Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda scoring 86%, 79%, 77% and 77% respectively.

South Africa where abortion is legal and the so called “comprehensive sexuality education” is being spoon-fed to school children, shows moral dilapidation and disintegration at 48%.

This goes to show that even strong and beautiful cultural values can be eroded when Africans start to open their doors and laws to sexually skewed views.

Views on Homosexuality (homosexual acts and lifestyle)

The best and most morally outstanding countries are:

Ghana comes up solid with an overwhelming 98% of the people denouncing the homosexual lifestyle as morally unacceptable

Egypt and Jordan come up next with 95% each

Palestine and Uganda follow with 94% and 93% respectively

The weakest countries with regards to homosexual lifestyle:

Spain where only 6% of the people consider homosexual acts as morally unacceptable

Germany had only 8%

Czech Republic and France had only 14% who consider homosexual acts as morally unacceptable

Canada, Britain and Australia also had unbelievable low numbers (less than 20% each) of people who consider homosexual acts as morally unacceptable.

Moral Views on Divorce:

The morally outstanding countries are:

Ghana towers over all with 80% of their people denouncing divorce as morally unacceptable

Uganda comes next with a fantastic 76%

Pakistan comes next with a strong 73%

The worst countries with regards to divorce:

Spain stoops lowest with only 4% of the people who see divorce as morally unacceptable

France is not much better with only 5%

Jordan surprisingly turns up almost as weak with 6%

-Next comes GermanyandEgypt at 7%

The next category is almost too shocking to consider but it is just as revelatory as other indicators of general public morality in various countries. This is the view on extramarital sex/affair

It is true that even the most selfish and cruel pro-abortion zealots expect fidelity in their marriages. Even though they are usually “liberal” about premarital sex and contraception, they still somehow expect that their spouses who were most likely sexually active with them outside the bonds of marriage would “miraculously” turn up as the most faithful spouses when they are married.

In any case this survey showed that most countries around the world still have strong public moral inclinations towards martial fidelity with almost 30 countries out of 40 showing above 70% of their people agreeing that extramarital sex is morally unacceptable.

However, the most morally outstanding countries are:

Turkey and Palestinian territory with 94% each

– then Jordan and Egyptcame up with 93%

Lebanon came next with 92%

The worst countries with regards to extramarital affairs:

France where only 47% of the people consider extramarital sex as morally unacceptable

Germany was next with only 60%

-Surprisingly India falls almost as low with 62%

-and yes, Spain and Italy show their tasteless “liberal” flare with 64%

The sexual revolution is upon us and it is cruel and it is ugly and it is strong just as it is blood thirsty.

Within its regime, women are objectified, unborn babies are killed, intact families are thorn apart, our cloak of sexual dignity is stripped from us. So we cannot afford to ignore the sexual revolution, we need to study it, and consider it and if we can, we need to flee its clutches whether we live in morally weak countries like Germany, France and Britain or even in morally strong countries in the heart of the African continent, we need to pay attention to the strong and violent winds of the sexual revolution.

So , for anyone who has carefully considered the development of this all consuming and destructive revolution which continues to erode the integrity of every marriage, family and even faith-based civilisation in our world, it is clear to see that the seed and entry point for it was the introduction and wide acceptance of contraception from country to country and from city to city, from village to village and yes from church to church.

The Contraceptive culture led to the casual sex culture and then inevitably to the abortion culture, the divorce culture and is now ushering in the rabid homosexual culture.

The contraceptive pill and mentality seeped into the consciousness of western civilisations without being detected or even opposed except by very few bold institutions like the Catholic Church.

And just as many researchers have shown us, it has led to unintended medical side effects that could and has indeed lead many directly to the grave. But unbeknown to us all, the side effects have led far beyond the medical realm to the point of devastating social, cultural and political side effects that are now turning our modern world into a sort of moral wasteland.

This is why I was most eager and interested to know how people in the surveyed countries consider the use of contraception because that might give good insight and intel into the possible solutions to our global cultural crisis.
Moral views on contraception

With regards to contraception as a moral issue, every one of the 40 surveyed countries fell short as none stood above 70%, but the most morally outstanding countries are:

Pakistan with 65%of the people seeing contraception as morally unacceptable

Nigeria(my own beloved nation) came next with 54% of the people still considering contraception as morally unacceptable

Ghana also came next with 52%

Most other countries showed up weak below 40%

However the very worst countries with regards to contraception:

Germany where only 1% of the people denounced contraception as morally unacceptable

Spain and Czech Republic fell almost as low with only 2% saying that contraception is morally unacceptable

Britain is almost as weak with only 3% of the people rejecting contraception

This is very telling with an undeniably vivid correlation between public moral views on contraception-extramarital sex-premarital sex-homosexual acts-divorce and abortion. These were the same countries (among many others) who I encountered at the UN two weeks ago where they shamelessly peddled their radical contraception and sexual rights agenda with unflinching determination. On many occasions and at various forums I listened to them offering the poorer countries contraception-based programs and “family planning” projects as the key to development. Lies and lobby!

But, one thing that fills my heart with hope is that despite their frantic attempts to spread the arrows of their ideology, many of the African nations as well as the Middle Eastern nations are still tenaciously holding unto their deeply-rooted moral values.

In this Pew-Research survey ,the moral strength of the Muslim countries stands out as formidable and the moral stamina of the African nations is commendable , thus ensuring that no matter the weight or pain of our prevailing economic and social limitations in the developing world, our children will be born into an authentic Culture of Life and they will be raised within a sure Civilisation of Love.

It feels good to know that our little girls will grow up to be women who are loved and cherished in loving marriages that will not be subjected to the poison of divorce, that our sisters and aunties and friends will stand tall, confident and comfortable within the beauty glow of motherhood. And most importantly that our unborn babies will remain safe within the warm haven that every mother’s womb was always supposed to be.

So next time I find myself at the UN, I will not fear nor will I fret in the face of the morally compromised wealthy nations.Because our moral compass is in place andour collective, public moral views are as formidable and commendable as strong winds that cannot be corrupted , no matter how hard they try!
