Intention Today is a perfect day to pray for:-ourselves -our families-our friends
ReflectionWe have been granted the privilege to hear and heed the message of Life, Love and Dignity within the culture and community we find ourselves. But most of us have, at some point in life, been afflicted and affected by the culture of death around us. Most of us carry upon our hearts scars and even open wounds for which we need the healing mercy of God. Some of us are still tethered to memories, thoughts or real situations that have us trapped and bound.   Abortion, Contraception, sterilisation, sexual exploitation, pornography, divorce, homosexual lifestyle, We are part of the society and so have been affect by one or more of these painful edges of this modern day culture. We too need to be freed and healed so that we can courageously go about the work of defending life and dignity of every human being from conception to natural death.
Today we pray for the help and intercession of Saint Josephine Bakhita that those of us who have been wounded and weakened may become freed and fortified in our respect for life.

Prayer:

?St. Josephine Bakhita, you were sold into slavery as a child and endured untold hardship and suffering. Once liberated from your physical enslavement, you found true redemption in your encounter with Christ and his Church.
O St. Josephine Bakhita, assist all those who are trapped in a state of slavery; intercede with God on their behalf so that they will be released from their chains of captivity.
Those whom man enslaves, let God set free.
Provide comfort to survivors of slavery and let them look to you as an example of hope and faith. Help all survivors find healing from their wounds.
We ask for your prayers and intercessions for those enslaved among us.     Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
